TOP EXPERIENCES
World’s Biggest Sand Island
Fraser Island is our favourite place on the East Coast for so many reasons. Freshwater lakes, 4WD driving and an incredible rainforest are three of them.
Australia’s Best Beach
Our trip around the Whitsunday Islands doesn’t just include sailing and sleeping on a boat, it also includes a visit to Whitehaven Beach, the best beach in Australia and maybe the world!
Meet Friends for Life
Whether it’s the other legends that are in our travel group, other people you meet along the coast or even our tour guide, this place guarantees lasting friendships.Â
First Time Memories
We want to help you do for the first time ever, amazing things like driving a 4WD on the beach, snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef or sleeping on a boat, you’ll do them all in 11 days with us.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
As we make our way up the East Coast, we’ll be staying in our favourite hostels in the different towns along the way. You’ll also spend a night camping on Fraser Island, a night sleeping on a boat on the Whitsunday Islands and one on an overnight bus.
ITINERARY
DAY ONE
NOOSA
Whether you’re driving or flying, we’ll be waiting to pick you up at Brisbane Airport at 12pm.
This is the first time you’ll meet your group and tour guide for the best 11 days of your life.
Once we’ve made our way to Noosa and got to know each other, we’ll check into the hostel and head to the beach to see the extremely beautiful (and Instagrammable) Fairy Pools, part of Noosa National Park. You are now in holiday mode and it is time for you to relax, enjoy and take it all in.
That evening we’ll all gather over a welcome meal and drinks, followed by a short talk on our next destination… Fraser Island!
DAY 2 & 3
FRASER ISLAND
By the end of this trip it will be hard to pick your highlight, but we guarantee that Fraser Island will be up there!
This place is paradise and a real once-in-a-lifetime experience. We’ll all be staying overnight on the island, camping just minutes from the beach. You will get to explore the world’s largest sand island while driving a 4WD along the beach ‘freeway’. Following your guide in the lead car, you’ll cruise on the 75 Mile Beach before detouring inland to discover freshwater lakes, float down lazy rivers and explore the stunning rainforest.Â
After two days on Fraser, it’s back to the mainland for a night in the beautiful town of Rainbow Beach.
DAY 4
RAINBOW BEACH
You’ve seen one of Australia’s most idyllic towns, you’ve explored the world’s biggest sand island and now it’s time to tick off the #1 item on the Australian bucket list: surfing!
Miles away from the hustle and bustle of overcrowded surf spots, this quiet Queensland town is the perfect place to paddle out and catch a wave in peace. After your surf lesson, there will be free time to chill by the pool, read your book or head to the Carlo Sandblow – a stunning spot to watch the sunset from, that looks back out to Fraser Island.
That evening, it’ll be time to take the bus north to Airlie Beach, the gateway to the next breathtaking destination…
DAY 5, 6 & 7
THE WHITSUNDAYS AND AIRLIE BEACH
Think snorkelling, swimming and basking in the sun as you cruise around 74 majestic islands off the Queensland coast.Â
Did we mention we’ll be taking you to the best beach in the world? That’s right, we’ll be visiting Whitehaven Beach, famous for its squeaky white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. After walking to the Hill Inlet Lookout, Whitehaven Beach never fails to disappoint as the perfect backdrop for that ultimate group photo.
In the evening, we’ll cheers to an epic day and an incredible sunset before falling asleep on a boat, in paradise itself. It’s also a front row seat for the sunrise over the ocean in the morning.
We’ll spend the next night on the mainland in Airlie Beach. Here you’ll have time to either explore the town’s vibrant nightlife or take it easy and rest.
DAY 8 & 9
CAIRNS: RAINFOREST & (OPTIONAL) ADRENALINE
Next and last stop: Cairns! The perfect place to finish your trip in style.
We’ll explore the waterfalls and rainforests of the Atherton Tablelands, slide down natural water slides, and swim in volcanic crater lakes. That evening we’ll have a big family dinner before giving you recommendations on where to finish your night.
If you’re an adrenaline junkie, then this wild town is for you. You can skydive, go white water rafting or bungy jumping and we can organise that for you before you go, or your guide can arrange it on tour. Alternatively you can check out the town or spend the day lazing by the lagoon.
We have a special evening arranged as you will party at the ONLY bungy jump site in Australia. After an Aussie BBQ and a drink or two in the rainforest, you’ll have the chance to face your fears by bungy jumping off a 50 metre platform amongst the rainforest (optional).
DAY 10 & 11
CAIRNS: THE GREAT BARRIER REEF & THE LONG GOODBYE
Cairns is also the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, so what kind of trip would this be if we didn’t take you out there? You’ll spend a full day exploring the world’s biggest living organism, snorkelling at two different spots. Bonus: if you want to scuba dive, we can organise that for you too! There’s nothing like experiencing the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef.
Tonight is all about our final farewell and it’s going to be a night to remember. We’ve organised dinner and drinks at Australia’s most famous party spot, Gilligans!
The next morning, we’ll say our goodbyes and arrange your airport transfers. We can guarantee that you will be going home with incredible memories, a new travel family and unlimited bragging rights.
We’re not your average tour company. We care about inspiring you, helping you and supporting you. We’ll be here to help you with absolutely anything for the whole time that you’re in Australia, not just before your tour.
It is all about being part of our Welcome to Travel Family.
