Arrival in Perth

Day 1

Welcome to Western Australia!

We know flying days can be a lot of effort and with people arriving at different times, we’ll be spending the first night in Perth so you can relax and recharge before an incredible 10 days ahead.

Check into the Perth hostel from 2pm and later that afternoon say hello to your Welcome to Travel host who’ll be joining you and your fellow group travellers for a meet & greet presentation. We’ll be giving you a run down of everything to expect from the week, as well as a chance for you to get to know the group you’ll be spending the best week of your life with!

After the meet & greet, you’ll head out for dinner together and get an early night ready for tomorrow’s adventures…

Day Trip to Rottnest Island

Day 2

Today we’ll be heading out to Rottnest Island! Home to a number of beaches, bays, and coves, you’ll get around the island by using the easiest and most fun mode of transport.. bicycles! The day will be spent exploring everything the island has to offer. Top picks will include beautiful bays, like Salmon and Narrow Neck Bay.

The beaches are some of the most beautiful for snorkelling and spotting wildlife. On land you might even spot a Quokka as they wander around looking for food!

Perth to Kalbarri National Park

Day 3

In the morning you’ll be heading to the lunar-like Pinnacles Desert, home to some of Australia’s most unique and fascinating natural landscapes. Thousands of tall limestone spires rise out of the yellow desert sands of Nambung National Park, cool or slightly eerie… you decide.

You’ll enjoy lunch by the sea at Jurien Bay and journey up the Indian Ocean Drive and watch some unmatched coastal views. On the way, you’ll stop off at the infamous Pink Lake! Thanks to algae that live in the water, when exposed to sunlight, the algae produces a red pigment that makes the lake turn a beautiful bubblegum shade of pink!

It’s only day four but it will already feel like forever! With so much more to pack in to the tour, today you’ll be visiting the marvels of The Murchison Gorge, grabbing the iconic shot at Nature’s Window and experiencing the Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park where the water has carved its way through sandstone. Today will definitely be one of many wow days.

You will even have the chance to go abseiling!

For those who might want to explore a bit more for the day, you can check out the shark nursery or even book to swim with Manta Rays! In the evening we will take a short drive up the peninsula to Exmouth, where we will be staying here for three nights.
